On June 25, 1981, in the mountain village of Medjugorje in Herzegovina, Our Lady appeared to six children. She identified herself as the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace, and continues to appear to the young people daily. Her mission is to promote peace with God and mankind, through her Son, Jesus. Mary's own words to the children explained, "I have come to tell the world that God exists."
Ivan is the oldest of three children in his family. Our Lady has appeared to Ivan every day since June 25, 1981, and has, to date, confided nine secrets. Ivan married in 1994 and has three beautiful children. His family resides half the year in Medjugorje and the other half in the US. Ivan: "The apparitions have made a big difference in my life - the difference between heaven and earth. For example, I arrange my day now so that even during the day I find time to pray. Before, my life had no meaning. Now, I'm filled with inner contentment. The first time I saw Our Lady, a change occurred in my soul, and in my heart. Before, I often avoided prayer, but now the difference is so great, I really can't describe it. I'm confident and not afraid, because I know who leads me, and therefore, I'm not afraid of death."
After an early morning arrival in Vienna you will connect (on your own) with your flight to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, and after claiming your baggage, you will be greeted by your driver outside the baggage claim in the arrival hall. Your driver will have a sign that reads "Prayer Experience". You will then enjoy a beautiful 2 1/2 hour drive along the Adriatic Sea and its coast of “A Thousand Islands” by private motor coach to the village of Medjugorje. Sit back and enjoy. When you arrive, you will be introduced to Ivan and his family in whose modern and comfortable house you will be staying. After getting settled in your rooms, Ivan and his family will join you for dinner and talk with you about the schedule for the following day.
Days 3 to 8 - Medjugorje
Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share our faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide will accompany us throughout the week. As Prayer Experience Pilgrims, you will begin each morning with hot home cooked breakfast followed by morning prayer, led by Ivan in his home chapel. Ivan will decide the prayers or scripture readings for each day. If there is a particular intention that our Blessed Mother has asked us to pray for, then we pray for that intention. Following Morning Prayer is English Mass at St. James Church. Each day after Mass, the group will have something scheduled. Some events planned during your pilgrimage include but are not limited to:
Climbing Mt. Krizevac, the Hill of the Cross, at whose summit there is a three ton cement Cross built in 1933 to commemorate the 19th centenary of our Lord’s Passion & Death. This is an intimate and prayerful experience praying the Stations of the Cross as you climb. The Stations are marked by beautiful bronze plaques along the pathway. Visits to the other visionaries’ homes will depend on their availability. We hope to arrange visits with all the visionaries who are in Medjugorje during the time you are there. Visit to Cennacolo, which is a community for recovering addicts, who use only prayer, fasting and physical work to heal from their addictions. This is a very powerful encounter. Visit to Fr. Jozo’s Parish. Fr. Jozo was the priest the visionaries turned to after the first apparition. One of the days, Ivan will take the group up Apparition Hill and describe the first days of the apparitions. At 3:00pm there is usually a presentation in English at the Church.
Dinner will be late afternoon (4:00/5:00pm). Ivan & his family will join you for dinner each night. Following dinner all of the pilgrims gather in Ivan’s chapel or at St. James Church to pray the rosary in preparation for our Blessed Mother’s apparition at 6:40pm. WE CANNOT PROMISE THAT THE GROUP WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND AN APPARITION WITH IVAN. Simply because we are not sure when our Blessed Mother will stop appearing to him. We must also respect the requests of the parish priests in Medjugorje.
Following the rosary is the international Mass for all of the pilgrims from around the world. Following Mass each evening are prayers for healing. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or Exultation of the Cross. Sometimes Ivan will invite all of the pilgrims to his prayer group that meets twice a week in the evening on Apparition Hill. Ivan receives a second apparition on those days during his prayer group. Confessions are available throughout the day. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament daily in the Adoration chapel from 1pm-6pm. Every Wednesday & Saturday there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 10pm-11pm. We will have certain times set aside for Ivan to speak to the group and for the group to share their experiences or questions. You will become part of our family during your stay; sitting on the porch talking, playing with the kids, sharing our faith, etc.
The Dragicevic family will do their best to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We suggest you plan to use your time well. Take time for yourself and God. Our home chapel is available to you all day & night. Spend some time alone in prayer. Our Blessed Mother has called you here for a special reason, to meet her Son, and They have a special plan for you, so time alone is important.
Day 9 - Medjugorje - Vienna
After breakfast and heartfelt
farewells, we leave by motor coach for departure flight from
Dubrovnik to Vienna. Upon arrival in Vienna Airport (after
claiming your baggage) you will proceed the the Austrian Airlines
information desk where they will provide you with your voucher for
your overnight in Vienna. They will also provide you with the
appropriate transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a free evening to
rest, relax, or explore.
Day 10 - Medjugorje - Vienna
After breakfast transfer from the hotel to Vienna Airport for your return flights home to the USA.

Our all pilgrimage prices are based
on airfares from New York. However, most of our pilgrims will depart from their
hometown on a domestic US flight, and meet up with their co-pilgrims in
Washington, DC where they will board their international flights to Dubrovnik,
via Vienna. Please be advised that at times, more direct flights may be
possible with alternate airline carriers, however, we feel that it is in the
best interest of our pilgrims to share one common flight schedule to travel from
the USA to Croatia. We apologize for any
inconvenience this may cause.
