Sample Day-by-Day Itinerary:


Day 1: Oct. 16, 2012 - Depart United States for Israel
Bus transportation from NJ to JFK Airport where you will board your overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Dinner & breakfast will be served on board.

Day 2: Oct. 17, 2012 - Arrive in Tel Aviv
Arrive in Ben Gurion Airport. Exit terminal and meet your local guide. Then we will travel to Tiberias for Mass, Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Oct.18, 2012 - Nazareth The Annunciation: Mt. Tabor, Cana
This morning after breakfast we go to Nazareth, the site of Mary’s home and the town where Jesus was raised. We start with a visit to the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well. Then make our way to Cana, the village where Jesus performed his first miracle changing water in wine. There we will visit the Franciscan chapel where couples will have a special opportunity to renew their wedding vows. We spend the afternoon on Mt Tabor, scene of the Transfiguration. We return to Tiberias for our dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Oct. 19, 2012 - The Ministry of Christ in the Galilee: Banias Boat ride on Sea of Galilee, Capernaum
Our day starts with a drive up to Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus told St. Peter “You are the Rock, and upon this rock I will build my Church”. Drive back for a memorable Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where Christ walked on water. Then visit the breathtaking Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount was given. In the afternoon. visit Tabgha where we will the splendid mosaic commemorating the miracle of the loaves and fishes, and to the nearby Church of Peter’s Primacy where Peter was told “Feed my lambs, feed my sheep”. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Oct. 20, 2012 - Stella Maris, Caesarea Jerusalem
Today after breakfast we depart the scene of the early ministry of Jesus in Galilee and head toward Jerusalem where He suffered, died and rose from the dead. First drive to Haifa to visit Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt Carmel. After drive down the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea Maritima, where Peter came to understand that the Good News was not for Jews only, but for the whole world. Here he baptized the Roman Centurion, Cornelius, and his family. Back on our motor coach we drive to Bethlehem for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Oct. 21, 2012 - The Church of Visitation, Ein Karem & The Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem
We begin our day with a visit to the Second Temple scale model for an overview of Jerusalem as it was at the time of Jesus. A short drive takes us to the village of Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist, to visit the church that commemorates his memory. We then pray the Mystery of the Rosary on the walk up the hill to the Church
of the Visitation. Spend the afternoon in Bethlehem to visit the Shepherds’ Field, commemorating the shepherds who minded their flocks as Mary and Joseph searched for lodging near Bethlehem. Then to Manger Square which stands in front of one of the oldest of Christian churches, the Church of the Nativity, which stands upon the site
where Jesus was born. Bending low, we enter the Church and descend into the Grotto of the Nativity. Beneath the Altar, a 14 pointed Silver Star marks the place surrounded by the Latin inscription: HIC DE VIRGINE MARIA JESUS CHRISTUS NATUS (Here Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary.)

Day 7: Oct. 22, 2012 - The Wilderness: Bethany & Dead Sea
We begin our day with the oasis town of Jericho, the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation, where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan, and see an example of Zacchaeuss’ Sycamore Tree and Elijah’s Spring. Next on to the site near Jericho where Jesus was baptized by John. Then a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. . We end our day with a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties and various skin products.. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem.

Day 8: Oct. 23, 2012-Palm Sunday & The Agony in the Garden: Mt Olives, Gethsemane, Mt Zion
We begin our day with a visit to the Mt. of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Our journey takes us to Gethsemane, where we will visit the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest. We continue on to the Cave of Betrayal and the Cave of Assumption of Mary to Heaven. We visit Pater Noster, where the universality of the Catholic Church is evident in the tiled mosaics of the Lord's Prayer in many languages. We finish our day at the Chapel of the Ascension from where Jesus ascended to Heaven. We return to our hotel for dinner and an early lights out. Then to Mt Zion for a visit to the Church of Peter in Galicantu, the house of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was interrogated and imprisoned. End the day at the Upper Room before return to the hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 9: Oct. 24, 2012 - The Way of the Cross, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Old City, Shroud
This morning we check out of our hotel and retrace the last steps of Jesus on Good Friday. As we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the Old City we will pray the Stations of the Cross as we walk the same path Jesus took. We reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice as we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Later visit the Notre Dame Center to see the Exhibition on the Shroud of Turin. Then the group will have a farewell dinner and leave for the Tel Aviv Airport for the flight back to NY JFK.

Day 10: Oct. 25, 2012 - Tel Aviv - USA
Just after midnight your flight departs for JFK Bus transportation back to NJ upon arrival in New York.
