Day 1, Sat, Oct 01: Depart Seattle for Baltimore

Depart from your local airport for your flight into Baltimore. Upon arrival, collect your luggage from the baggage claim area and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will find your driver holding a "206 Tours" sign. You will transfer to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy some free time on your own, this evening meet your group in the lobby of your hotel to celebrate Mass and enjoy your Meet & Greet dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 2, Sun, Oct 02: Baltimore

After breakfast, our first day of sightseeing will begin! We take a guided tour of the Basilica of the Assumption - America's first cathedral also called the Baltimore Basilica. It was the first Roman Catholic cathedral built in the United States and is among the first major religious buildings constructed in the nation after the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. We will then visit St. Mary's Spiritual Center, the Spiritual Center is housed in a three-story, Federal style building which once served as the convent for the Sisters of Divine Providence, who worked at the seminary. Since 1791 the site continues its rich tradition of ongoing spiritual and intellectual growth and development. Next, we will celebrate Mass and, this afternoon after lunch on your own, we will continue our tour to the home of Elizabeth Ann Seton and Shrine of St. Jude. Next, we will explore St. Mary's seminary. This was the first seminary founded in the United States of America after the Revolution. We will transfer to a local restaurant for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3, Mon, Oct 03: Baltimore - Emmitsburg (MD) - Washington DC

After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Emmitsburg. Here, we will visit The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton which is a U.S. religious site and educational center in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The center pays tribute to the life and mission of Elizabeth Ann Seton (August 28, 1774 - January 4, 1821), the first native-born citizen of the United States to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church. It is both a Minor Basilica and a National Shrine, and we will have the opportunity to celebrate Mass here. This afternoon we will visit the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Above the lovely valley of Emmitsburg, situated high on the Mountainside, where nature displays itself in all its wild and picturesque glory, sits the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes. This shrine traces its linage to the very beginnings of the spread of Catholicism in America. Indelibly linked with Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, it is one of the oldest American replicas of the revered French shrine, dating to about two decades after the apparitions at Lourdes (1875), although the site had already been in use for more than seventy years as a place of prayer and devotion. Lunch will be your own and we will continue to Washington, DC, for entry to the Bible Museum. The Museum of the Bible documents the narrative, history, and impact of the Bible. The museum opened on November 17, 2017. With 1,150 items from the museum's permanent collection and 2,000 items on loan from other institutions and collections, the museum claims to have amassed one of the largest assemblies of biblical artifacts and texts in the world through collaborations with private donors, institutions, and other museums. After this visit, we will return the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4, Tues, Oct 04: Washington DC (Consecration to Our Lady)

We will meet in the lobby of the hotel after breakfast. We start our day with a visit to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic minor Basilica. We will participate in public mass, followed by a visit to the St. John Paul II National Shrine. After lunch on your own, we will enter The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America. Located on a hill called Mount Saint Sepulcher, and anchored by the Memorial Church of the Holy Sepulcher, it includes gardens, replicas of various shrines throughout Israel. A replica of the catacombs in Rome, an archive, a library, as well as bones of Saint Benignus of Armagh, brought from the Roman catacombs and originally in the cathedral of Narni, Italy. Our tour will continue to The Dominican House of Studies, officially the Priory of the Immaculate Conception, which is a community of the Province of St. Joseph of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). It is dedicated to the theological formation of Dominican friars and the service of the church in the Archdiocese of Washington. It serves as a formation community for Dominican candidates for Holy Orders and the Dominican cooperator brotherhood. It also operates the Thomistic Institute. Our day will conclude with a panoramic tour of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop's headquarters followed by dinner at the hotel and overnight.

Day 5, Thu, Oct 05: Washington DC

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Our first stop will be the United States Capitol Visitor Center (CVC), which is a large underground addition to the United States Capitol complex that serves as a gathering point for up to 4,000 tourists and an expansion space for the US Congress. The next stop will be an entrance to the White House Visitor Center. It holds nearly 100 artifacts that are on display, some for the first time- such as President Franklin D. Roosevelt's desk. The White House Visitor Center is operated by the National Park Service and is in historic Baldrige Hall in the Department of Commerce building. The Center includes a flagship retail store for the White House Historical Association that features new and treasured items that support their mission of enhancing the understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of the White House. Next, we make our way to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. We will then break for lunch on your own, and continue our sightseeing with a visit to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. The USHMM provides for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history. Its mission is to help leaders and citizens of the world confront hatred, prevent genocide, promote human dignity, and strengthen democracy. Lastly, we will celebrate Mass and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.

Day 6, Thurs, Oct 06: Chantilly - Washington DC Airport

After breakfast, we will collect our luggage and meet in the lobby of our hotel for our last pilgrimage day. We will start with a transfer to Chantilly for our visit to The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, which is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM)'s annex. It holds numerous exhibits, including the Space Shuttle Discovery and the Enola Gay. We will then break for lunch on your own and enjoy some free time. After lunch, we will celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary and transfer to the airport for your return flight(s) home.
