Day 02 | Tue, Apr 25: Arrive Milan airport – Milan - Biella
Upon arrival your escort will warmly greet you this morning and welcome you to Italy. Pending time of arrival, we will enjoy a half day tour of Milan the second largest city in Italy & the capital of Lombardy. The Gothic Milan Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of Milan took nearly six centuries to complete. It is the fourth largest Cathedral in the world, and the largest in the Italian state territory. The city is famous for DaVinci’s Cenacolo, the Duomo, the Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio (which we will visit), and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. We will then transfer to your Hotel in Biella for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 | Wed Apr 26: Biella – Asti Turin
After breakfast, we will depart to visit the town of Asti and the Tower of Troyana. We will continue on to the city of Turin, known for The Shroud of Turin, one of the world’s most famous relics, and for being the birthplace and final resting place of Pier Giorgio Frassati. Within the Duomo of Turin lies the tomb of Blessed Frassati, re-interred from the Pollone cemetery. We will explore the city, visiting sites such as "La Crocetta" church- where he was baptized, received his first Holy Communion, and frequently served Mass. The former Frassati family home can be seen across the street.. Time permitting, we will have Mass in the "Cappella Pier Giorgio Frassati," located in the basement of the Church. We will continue our day with touring of this beautiful city, in sight of the Italian Alps & Turin’s promenades and historic buildings. Arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 04 | Thu, Apr 27: Biella – Oropa - Biella
After breakfast, we will depart for Oropa, a Shrine at the base of the Alpine mountain range. According to local legend, during the 17th century, the town was spared from the plague because of the Shrine. Every year the residents make a pilgrimage in thanks to the Blessed Mother. We will see the Brown Madonna, and the Church where Frassati prayed. See the mountain he climbed, and take a cable car (seasonal availability) that goes half way up the mountain to the lake. We will have free time for lunch in Oropa before returing to our hotel in nearby Biella.

Day 05 | Fri, Apr 28: Biella - Pollone - Biella
Following breakfast, we make our way to Pollone. It is here we will visit the Pollone cemetery where he was originally buried prior to his re-interment as well as Frassati’s summer home which is where we will celebrate Mass. Following Mass, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant, with a presentation of his life following. Continue on to Biella for dinner and overnight.

Day 06 | Sat, Apr 29: Biella - Genoa—Siena
This morning we depart to Genoa, as Pier Giorgio did on a Eucharistic Procession, driving through the Genoan and the Ligurian coastal countryside.  We will do a panoramic tour of the Cathedral di San Lorenzo, the Basilica of Santa Maria di Castello, other sites of the city and its beautiful seaside. This morning we will continue on our journey South, down the Apennine Peninsula toward Siena, the birthplace of Saints Catherine (Doctor of the Church, and one of the two patron Saints of Italy, with St. Francis of Assisi) and Bernardine (known as the “Apostle of Italy” for his efforts to revive the Catholic faith in the 15th century). Dinner & overnight in Siena.

Day 07 | Sun, Apr 30: Siena – Bologna – Padua
Today, we wake up in Siena, one of Italy’s loveliest medieval cities. Here we will stroll the Piazza Del Campo, one of Italy’s finest squares and visit the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis, containing the miraculous consecrated hosts that remained intact since 1730. We will continue on to view the incorrupt head of St. Catherine at the Basilica of St. Dominic (Her body is preserved in Rome in the Basilica St. Maria sopra Minerva). We journey North through Bologna, where we will visit the San Domenico Church; which houses the body of Saint Dominic beneath the incredibly ornate “Arca di San Domenico”. Continue toward Padua for dinner and overnight.

Day 08 | Mon, May 1: Padua
Following breakfast at your hotel, our group will take a sightseeing tour of this Northern Italy city which honors the patron saint of lost causes, St. Anthony. While in Padua, your group will visit the tomb and celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Anthony. The tour includes one of the oldest universities in Italy, the University of Padua, and a visit to the Basilica of Santa Giustina, the patron saint of Padua. After the tour, your group will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 09 | Tue, May 2: Padua - Venice - Padua
After breakfast, the group will depart for nearby Venice, where the streets are paved with water! You will enjoy a tour and visit some of the greatest sights you will ever see: St. Mark's Square, The Golden Basilica of San Marco, and can catch a boat to the islands of "Burano," where they make handmade lace and "Murano," where they blow glass.. After the tour you will have free time to explore Venice on own, shop or perhaps take a gondola ride. Don't forget to enjoy a cappuccino and gelato at one of the cafes in St. Mark's Square, a “must” for any visit to Venice. The group will return to the hotel in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 | Wed, May 3: Transfer to Venice airport - USA
You will bid farewell to our new friends and to a Pilgrimage which will be in your memory and heart for a long time to come. The group will depart for Venice Airport for the return flights home. We fondly say Arrivederci Italia and Pax tecum to our fellow pilgrims!
