Sunday, October 14: Depart for the Holy Land

Make your way to your local airport where you will board your overnight flight. Your meals are served on board.

Day2
Monday, October 15: Arrive in Tel Aviv

Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will collect your luggage in the baggage claim area, and continue to the Arrival's Hall where you will be greeted by a tour guide and/or driver. Your group will transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv in time to check-in. Relax and enjoy dinner at the hotel before retiring for the evening. (D)

Tuesday, October 16: Caesarea - Akko - Nazareth - Tiberias

Following breakfast, we will head to Caesarea, the former capital of Judea. You will visit the archaeological remains of this ancient port. We will continue to Akko, (Acre) capital of the Crusaders for more than a century. Visit the Crusader Knight halls and subterranean tunnels - walk along the bazaars to Khan al Umdan. Next, we head to Nazareth, and visit a first-century farm and village presenting the life, times and teachings of Jesus and have lunch. Continue to the Church of Annunciation & the Church of St. Joseph, followed by the Church of Incarnation, where the house of Virgin Mary stood and where the Angel Gabriel came. Visit Mary's Well, then drive to Tiberias, and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

Wednesday, October 17: Cana - Megiddo - Gan Hashlosha - Tabor - Tiberias

After breakfast, travel to the village of Cana, where we will visit the Church of the first miracle, and have the opportunity for married couples to renew their wedding vows. We travel to Megiddo, and explore this area that goes back in history to 4000 BC, looking at ruins from the times of King Solomon. We then head to Gan Hashlosha National Park, to enjoy a picnic lunch and relaxation. Next, we visit the site of Transfiguration, Mount Tabor (Matthew 17:1-50). Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. Thursday, October 18: Sea of Galilee - Mt. Beatitudes - Capernaum - Bethsaida - Tabgha - Magdala - Tiberias

Following breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful Sea of Galilee (Luke 5:1), and view the remains of a boat that dates back to the time of Jesus. Continue on to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus proclaimed His Great Sermon on the Mount (Luke 6:20-49). We then visit Capernaum and see the Synagogue where Jesus taught (Mark 1:21-29), and gave His sermon on the Bread of Life, as well as see the Church built over the site of St. Peter's home. We will also visit Bethsaida, the Land of Gesur, where David took refuge and the hometown of five of Jesus disciples. Travel to Tabgha, one of Jesus' miracle sites where He fed the crowd of 5,000 people from five loaves of bread, and two fish (Luke 9:10-17). Also, in Tabgha is St. Peter's Primacy, where Jesus bestowed Church leadership upon Peter (John 21:9). Your tour continues to Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B,L,D)

Friday, October 19: Jacob's Well - Jordan River - Jericho - Wadi Qelt - Jerusalem

After breakfast, we will visit Jacob's well in Nablus, where Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink and offered her living water. Next, we visit Bet Arabah, to see the Jordan River (and get the chance to dip our feet in). We then head to Jericho. View the Mount of Temptation; where the devil tempted Jesus during his forty-day fast. You will have the optional opportunity to ride a camel in this area (on your own). Next, we stop at Wadi Qelt before heading to Jerusalem. Check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

Saturday, October 20: Bethany - Qumran - Masada - Dead Sea swim - Jerusalem

After breakfast, we head to Bethany, where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:38-44). Continue to Qumran, a site made up of 2,000-year-old ruins from the days of the Second Temple, and where the Dead Sea Scrolls were written and discovered (Ezekial 47:8-10). Next, we head to Masada to visit the fortress, and see the ruins that are considered a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Afterwards, the group will go to Ein Bokek, for lunch & swim, at one of the hotels on the shores of the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,L,D).

Sunday, October 21: Beersheba - Hebron - Bethlehem - Shepherds Field - Jerusalem

Following breakfast, travel to the land of Philistines to Beersheba, where Abraham made a pact with the Philistines and visit Abraham's Well Visitor Center. Continue on to visit Hebron, with a long history dating to the Early Bronze Period (3500 -2000BC). We will visit the Tombs of the Patriarchs. Continue on to "mamre", once called Terebinthus, after a great tree that grew there. (Genesis 18:1). We then travel to Bethlehem. You will have the opportunity to view the Shepherd's Fields (Luke 2:8). You will have lunch. We will visit the Church of the Nativity and the Nativity Grotto. The group will have time for shopping at Catholic stores. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,L,D)

Monday, October 22: Temple Mount - Wailing Wall - Southern Steps - Mahane Yehuda - Israel Museum -Jerusalem

After breakfast, we will ascend the Temple Area, seeing the Dome of the Rock, where once the temple of Solomon and the temple of time of Christ Stood. Visit the Western Wall, which is the last remnant of the Jewish Temple, after it was destroyed in 70 A.D. Next, visit the Davidson Centre, (Southern steps). Afterwards, we will have free time in the Mahane Yehuda market. Stroll along the market and enjoy lunch (on your own). Our last stop today will be at the Israel Museum to see the model of the Second Temple and Jerusalem, as it was in the time of Jesus. You may explore the Israel Museum until closing time (5:00pm). Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

Tuesday, October 23: Mt. Of Olives - Mt. Zion - Gethsemane - Jerusalem

Following breakfast, we will travel to the Mt. of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem where our guide will point out the most important sites in Jerusalem. We will walk down the Palm Sunday road, stopping at Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Walk along the Jewish cemetery, with a view of the eastern gate. We will head to Mt. Zion, to visit the house of the High Priest Caiaphas, (Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu). This Church commemo-rates where Jesus was judged and eventually imprisoned before the Council in Jerusalem. You will also visit the Upper Room on Mt. Zion, which commemorates where Jesus and His disciples celebrated the Last Supper (Matthew 26:17-30). In the afternoon, we will visit the Church of All Nations, built over the "Rock of Agony". This is where Jesus prayed alone on the night of His arrest. Throughout this time, you are invited to remain in prayer. End this day at The Garden of Gethsemane, where group will celebrate mass. (B,D)

Wednesday, October 24: Via Dolorosa - Holy Sepulchre - Ein Karem - Jerusalem

Wake up early this day to walk the Via Dolorosa (The Way of the Cross), passing by Ecce Homo on your way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This Sacred destination is the site of Calvary, (Jesus' crucifixion and tomb), (Luke 23: 50-55). After this unforgettable experience, we will head back to your hotel for breakfast and then enjoy some free time for either, rest and reflection, or a walking tour with your guide in the Old City. The last visit of the day will be Ein Karem village, where Mary traveled to see Elizabeth, and the birthplace of John the Baptist. We will visit the Church of the Visitation & the Church of St. John the Baptist. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

Day12
Thursday, October 25: Return Home

After an early breakfast and heartfelt farewells, your group will leave by motor coach and transfer to the Tel Aviv airport for return flights home. (B)

Thursday, October 25: Tel Aviv - Rome - Bagnoregio - Siena

Prepare for your early departure to Tel Aviv Airport, where you will board your flight to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, you will make your way to baggage claim, and then to the Arrival's Hall where you will meet your guide. You will then travel north through Umbria, and visit one of the most beautiful old hilltop towns in Italy, Bagnoregio. The destiny of this place, the cluster of medieval houses, the handful of families who still live there, and the surreal landscape of sur-rounding white clay canyons make Bagnoregio a unique and enchanting place. Continue on to Siena. Dinner and overnight in Siena. (D)

Friday, October 26: Siena - Assisi

After breakfast, we will do a walking tour of Siena. This medieval city is the birthplace of St. Catherine, "Doctor of the Church", and St. Bernardine, "the Apostle of Italy". Visit the Basilica of St. Catherine and the Shrine of St. Catherine. Enjoy our walking tour through Siena including a visit to its Cathedral. We will conclude at one of Italy's finest squares, the Piazza Del Campo, where you will be given free time. Then, board the bus, and continue to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis. The bus will take us outside of the walls of Assisi, to visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. This is where St. Francis spent most of life. Dinner and overnight in Assisi. (B, D)

Saturday, October 27: Assisi - Rome

After breakfast, we will tour the hometown of St. Francis, the inspiration for Pope Francis, who chose his name. You will become captivated, as the atmosphere of this town has not changed since St. Francis began his ministry, in the early 13th-century. We will tour the St. Francis Basilica, visit his tomb, and view frescoes depicting his life, along with a few of the saint's possessions. From there, we will continue on a walking tour through this picturesque town, including his birthplace, and ending with a tour of the Church that honors St. Clare, the foundress of the Poor Clare Sisters. There will be some free time, before we board our bus and make our way to Rome, also known as, "The Eternal City." Following check-in at your hotel, you will have free time to unpack and relax, or explore Rome on your own. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B, D)

Sunday, October 28: Rome: Roman Forum - Colosseum - Pope Angelus - Catacombs

After breakfast, we will visit the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. At noon, we will attend the Angelus, led by Pope Francis from the balcony of the Papal Palace. After the Angelus, we will head to a restaurant for lunch. The bus will take us down the Appian Way, the earliest road of Ancient Rome. This road leads to the Domino Quo Vadis Chapel, the Baths of Caracalla, the Arch of Drusus, and the Tomb of Cecilia Metella. After lunch, we will visit the catacombs of St. Callixtus, a cemeterial complex, where popes, martyrs, and many Christians are buried. The day concludes with a visit to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Originally founded by Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century, this Basilica is the burial place of Saint Paul the Apostle. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B, L, D)

Monday, October 29: Rome: Saint Peter's - Vatican Museums - Christian Rome Tour

Enjoy an early breakfast before making your way to St. Peter's Basilica, built on the site where St. Peter, the first Pope and Bishop of Rome, was buried. It is here that you will view Michelangelo's Pieta. Continue to the Vatican Museums. At the world-renowned museum, you will see the most impressive of edifices, galleries, and awe-inspiring relics. Additionally, you will observe the Tapestry Gallery, Raphael Rooms, Sistine Chapel, and Michelangelo's Masterpiece, the restored mural of the Last Judgment. The final stop on your Vatican tour is at the tomb of Saint John Paul II. Afterward, you will be transferred to the Trevi Fountain, where you may enjoy some free time. This afternoon you will visit the oldest of the four major Basilicas in Rome, and the home to the relics of St. Peter and St. Paul, the Basilica of St. John the Lateran. This Basilica is where Pope Francis was installed as Bishop of Rome, and where he officiates as the Bishop of Rome. Next, we will cross the street to visit the Holy Staircase. Tradition states that this staircase is from Pontius Pilate's palace of Jerusalem during the time of Jesus. If time permits, you may climb the steps on your knees, in memory of Christ's agonizing Passion. We will also visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Following dinner your Guide will provide any needed advice and suggestions on places to visit the next 2 days while in Rome. (B, D)

Tuesday, October 30: Rome: Father Crossen Private Rome Walk - Free Time

After breakfast, the participants will divide into separate groups.
Group 1 will have the option to join Father Crossen on a walk through the city of Rome. Fr. Crossen lived in Rome while studying at the Pontifical North American College. You will walk with him and stop at places he will personally choose for you to experience. You may also join him for a wonderful Italian lunch at one of his favorite restaurants (on your own). You will have any remainder of the day to spend at your leisure, before returning to your hotel for the night.
Group 2 will have the day free to explore the sites of Rome they have chosen to visit, to make their experience in Rome a very personal one. You may choose to explore the city with some of your new pilgrim friends or enjoy a romantic day and evening with your loved one before returning to your hotel for the night. (B)

Day18
Wednesday, October 31: Rome: Father Crossen Private Rome Walk - Free Time - Farewell Dinner

After breakfast:
Group 2 will now have to option to join Father Crossen on a private walk through the city of Rome, and stop at places he will personally choose. You may also join him for lunch at one of his favorite restaurants (on your own). Spend any remainder of the day at your own leisure, before returning to your hotel to prepare for a special Farewell Dinner.
Group 1 will now have the day free to explore the sites of Rome they have chosen to visit, with new friends or loved ones. Then return to your hotel to prepare for a special Farewell Dinner.
Our Entire group will enjoy a special Farewell Dinner together this evening. Our Guide will explain our departure procedures as we prepare to say arrivederci, "goodbye", to Rome. (B, D)

Thursday, November 1: Return Home

This morning, you will have an early breakfast, and then be transferred to Rome Airport for your return flight(s) home with memories that will last a lifetime. (B)

Thursday, October 25: Tel Aviv - Rome - Bagnoregio - Siena

If time permits, you may climb the steps on your knees, in memory of Christ's agonizing Passion. We will also visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Following dinner your Guide will provide any needed advice and suggestions on places to visit the next 2 days while in Rome. (B, D)

Tuesday, October 30: Rome: Father Crossen Private Rome Walk - Free Time

After breakfast, the participants will divide into separate groups.
Group 1 will have the option to join Father Crossen on a walk through the city of Rome. Fr. Crossen lived in Rome while studying at the Pontifical North American College. You will walk with him and stop at places he will personally choose for you to experience. You may also join him for a wonderful Italian lunch at one of his favorite restaurants (on your own). You will have any remainder of the day to spend at your leisure, before returning to your hotel for the night.
Group 2 will have the day free to explore the sites of Rome they have chosen to visit, to make their experience in Rome a very personal one. You may choose to explore the city with some of your new pilgrim friends or enjoy a romantic day and evening with your loved one before returning to your hotel for the night. (B)

Day18
Wednesday, October 31: Rome: Father Crossen Private Rome Walk - Free Time - Farewell Dinner

After breakfast:
Group 2 will now have to option to join Father Crossen on a private walk through the city of Rome, and stop at places he will personally choose. You may also join him for lunch at one of his favorite restaurants (on your own). Spend any remainder of the day at your own leisure, before returning to your hotel to prepare for a special Farewell Dinner.
Group 1 will now have the day free to explore the sites of Rome they have chosen to visit, with new friends or loved ones. Then return to your hotel to prepare for a special Farewell Dinner.
Our Entire group will enjoy a special Farewell Dinner together this evening. Our Guide will explain our departure procedures as we prepare to say arrivederci, "goodbye", to Rome. (B, D)

Day19
Thursday, November 1: Return Home

This morning, you will have an early breakfast, and then be transferred to Rome Airport for your return flight(s) home with memories that will last a lifetime. (B)
