Fr. Louis Merosne

Fr. Louis was born in Haiti but moved to the United States in 1993. He talks about how, even though he grew up very poor, his parents always taught him to love God and help the poor. After completing his studies at the Franciscan University of Steubenville (BA and MA)he joined a Missionary in Boston that took him to Mexico. In 2011, Fr. Louis was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Anse-a-Veau and Miragoane in Haiti. Always expressing gratitude to the Blessed Mother for guiding and protecting his vocation, he now continues to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to love the poor in Haiti and, occasionally, in the US and other countries. Currently he is the pastor of "Cathedrale Sainte Anne" in his diocese, director of the Saint John Paul II Center for the New Evangelization, director of vocations and of the diocesan committee for the charismatic renewal.

Dr. Gregory Bottaro

Dr. Bottaro is a clinical psychologist practicing in Connecticut serving the greater New York Metropolitan area and many others through online therapy. He received his Psy.D. (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences, a graduate school in Arlington, VA that integrates Catholic philosophy and theology with sound, empirically validated psychology. Before finishing his degree, he discerned a religious vocation with the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (CFRs). He lived four years in the Bronx, serving the poor in the tradition of St. Francis. These years were emotionally, spiritually, and professionally formative as Dr. Bottaro tested his vocation and ultimately felt the prompting of God's will to pursue family life.

The Holy Land - In the Footsteps of Jesus:

If you desire to draw closer to Jesus of Nazareth, come, as we follow in His footsteps. Each day of your pilgrimage you will have time to renew and affirm your faith; to pray and reflect. The Scriptures will come alive as you visit Our Lord's homeland. You will be inspired by the natural beauty of the landscape, in addition to its rich historical heritage It is an encounter that has changed the lives of many pilgrims, an act of faith and prayer. Pilgrims have been traveling to the Holy Land for hundreds of years, and as part of your pilgrimage, we include many of the rich traditions that have evolved over time. The maxim at the entrance to the Church of the Nativity says: "We are hoping that: If you enter here as a tourist, you would exit as a pilgrim. If you enter here as a pilgrim, you would exit as a holier one." We pray that same will occur when you join 206 Tours pilgrimage.
