What You Need:
- 15 - 20 Plastic Bags (Dry Cleaning Drapes)
- 15 - 20 Pieces of Paper (Stuffing Paper for Gifts or Dry Cleaning Paper)
- Pair of Scissors
Step by Step Guide for Packing Your Vestments:
Step 1 - Cut the Plastic Bags along the edges so that they open up to one large plastic blanket
Step 2 - Lay your Cape out completely – across a Table; Notice the neck of the Cape is on the bottom; Place Plastic Sheet down the middle.
Step 3 - Make sure it is upside down – so your TAG is showing.
Step 4 - Take the Left Side of the Cape, and fold it over ¾ of the Way.
Step 5 - Drape another Plastic Sheet over the top of the Cape.
(Repeat this process with every Fold!!)
Step 6 - Grab the Right Side, and pull it to the Left over the Cape until the Fold meets the Plastic underneath.
Step 7 - Put another Plastic Sheet over the top of the Cape.
Step 8 - Grab the Left Side and fold over to the other side of the Cape.
Step 9 - Rotate the Cape so the Collar is to the Left, and the Cape is centered on the table.
Step 10 - Place a Plastic Sheet underneath the Cape.
(So now your entire cape, and every fold, has a piece of Plastic above and below it)
Step 11 - Grab the bottom right corner of the Cape, and fold it in to the half way point of the Cape.
Then grab the bottom left corner of the Cape, and fold it in to the half way point of the Cape.
Step 12 - Repeat Step 10 one more time.
Step 13 - Make sure everything is lying down flat.
Step 14 - Grab the bottom of the cape, and fold it forward (on top of the Cape)
Make sure run your hand down and press on the cape to make sure everything is flat.
Step 15 - Repeat this process a few more times until you come to the Collar.
Step 16 - Repeat this process a few more times until you come to the Collar.
Step 17 - Keep the Tassles out, and the Collar facing outward.
Step 18 - Take one of the Tassles and pull it under the Cape, and then over the top.
(Like you are tying a bow around a present)
Step 19 - Tie the Tassles.
Step 20 - Finished – this is what your Cape should look like.
Final Step - Place your Cape at the bottom of your Luggage, that way it will be kept tight and not
shuffle around when your luggage bounces around the Airport, Plane, and Baggage Claim.
